As part of the UCSC CIDER program, we are committed to helping facilitate the use of drones for the purposes of supporting research and education. If you would like to incorporate drones into your research, our team is here to work with you to determine which imagery data would best fit your needs.
We are working to make a variety of drones available that can either be checked out at a low cost by FAA certified 107 pilots and individuals who can demonstrate they are able to safely operate our drones and are cleared by the University to legally operate drones for research. For individuals who may not have experience but would like to incorporate drones into their research, our team can assist you with experimental design and fly missions depending on availability.
